The Cutter does two related jobs: trimming a clip down to a specific start/end range, and splitting one file into two separate files at a chosen timestamp. Upload a file and the tool reads its duration automatically, so you can see exactly how much room you have to work with before setting your times.
How it works
- Upload your file — its duration is detected automatically.
- Choose Trim (keep a start–end range) or Split (break into two files at one point).
- Enter times in seconds, then tap Run.
- Download the trimmed file, or both halves if you split.

Tips for better results
- The duration shown is read directly from your uploaded file — if it looks wrong, the file may be corrupted or partially uploaded.
- For splitting a file into more than two parts, split once, then split one of the resulting halves again.
- Trim before you convert format, not after — it's one less step and keeps quality consistent.
Can I split into more than 2 parts in one pass?
Not in a single run — split repeatedly on the resulting files for more than two parts.
What file size limit applies?
10MB, same as the other short-audio tools.
Does trimming lose quality?
For lossy formats there's a small re-encode; for WAV, trimming is lossless.
