This tool uses spectral noise reduction to pull down steady, continuous background noise — fan hum, room tone, air conditioning, light hiss — while leaving speech as intact as possible. It's built for consistent background noise, not sudden one-off sounds like a door slam or a dog bark, which spectral methods can't reliably distinguish from the wanted signal.
How it works
- Upload your recording (up to 10MB — output is mono).
- Set the strength slider — higher removes more noise but can start to affect speech quality.
- Tap Remove noise and listen to the result before downloading.
- If it sounds metallic or thin, lower the strength and try again.

Tips for better results
- Start around 0.4–0.5 strength and increase only if noise is still noticeable — aggressive settings can make voices sound processed or unnatural.
- This tool won't remove sudden noises (claps, coughs, door slams) — only steady background sound.
- Denoise before, not after, converting to a lossy format for best results.
Will this fix a recording ruined by loud noise?
It reduces steady background noise but can't reconstruct speech buried under very loud or non-steady noise.
Why is the output mono?
Spectral noise reduction is applied per-channel in a way that currently outputs a single mixed-down channel.
Can I undo if it sounds worse?
Keep your original file — reprocess from the untouched source with a lower strength setting.
