Today's usage
Change speed
Speed up or slow down without changing pitch (time-stretch). Range 0.5×–2.0×. Up to 10MB.
Speeding up shortens duration; slowing down stretches it. By default pitch is preserved (time-stretch), so speech still sounds like the same person — better for voiceovers and Shorts.
How it works
- Upload an audio file up to 10MB.
- Pick a speed (or use presets like 1.25×).
- Download the result.
Who uses this
YouTube Shorts
Tighten a voiceover that runs a few seconds too long.
Practice
Slow a phrase to learn pronunciation.
Podcasts
Slightly speed long reads without a full re-record.
Tips for better results
- 1.25× is a common sweet spot for spoken content.
- Extreme speeds (near 0.5× or 2×) sound more artificial — preview before publishing.
- If you need pitch locked while changing speed, that requires a dedicated time-stretch tool (not included here).
Frequently asked questions
Does pitch stay the same?
Yes by default — time-stretch keeps pitch. Uncheck “Keep original pitch” only if you want the classic chipmunk/slow effect.
Max speed?
2× faster or 0.5× slower.
