Split by silence
Cut a long recording into separate clips wherever there is a pause. Useful for interviews and multi-take voiceovers. Up to 10MB · max 20 parts.
When you've recorded several takes in one file, or an interview with natural gaps, splitting on silence saves manual scrubbing in a full editor.
How it works
- Upload a recording up to 10MB.
- Set how long a pause must be to count as a split, and how quiet “silence” is.
- Tap Split — download each part individually (up to 20 parts).
Who uses this
Multi-take VO

Interviews
Break a long conversation into topic chunks.
Podcasts

Tips for better results
- If you get too many tiny clips, raise Min silence (e.g. 800–1200 ms).
- If it won't split, lower the silence threshold (more negative = treats more of the file as sound).
- Room noise can prevent clean splits — denoise first if needed.
