Speech to text. For Urdu or Hindi audio, select that language (not Auto) for best script accuracy. Returns text + SRT. Up to 10MB.
Transcription turns spoken audio into readable, searchable text. It's the step between "I have a recording" and "I have something I can edit, quote, or publish" — useful for turning an interview into an article, a lecture into study notes, or a voice memo into a to-do list.
VoxCraft's transcriber accepts WAV, MP3, M4A, OGG and FLAC files up to 10MB, and processes longer recordings in chunks so a 20-minute interview works the same way as a 30-second clip.
How it works
- Upload your audio file (WAV, MP3, M4A, OGG or FLAC, up to 10MB).
- Pick the spoken language from the dropdown — matching the language improves accuracy.
- Tap Transcribe and wait a few seconds to a minute depending on length.
- Review the text, then copy it or download it as a .txt file.

Tips for better results
- Clear speech with minimal background noise transcribes far more accurately than noisy recordings — if your file is noisy, try the Denoise tool first.
- Multiple overlapping speakers reduce accuracy — review the transcript rather than assuming perfect speaker separation.
- Matching the correct spoken language in the dropdown matters more than most people expect.
Is transcription free?
